Families - DON'T STAY IN THIS AREA! It's way too busy, expecially with smokers and drinkers. Stay in North Myrtle Beach, or at least far from the center of town. Barefoot Landing is nice (see Alligator Adventure). And at the end of the week we found Market Commons. It was great, had a playground, nice shops and the best food. (Not a lot of good food near the hotel).

You need a car as the hotel does not have a restaurant. You would want to have it anyway to enjoy all or some of Myrtle Beach attractions.

This was the first vacation as a couple that we have been on ALONG in a long time. It was so nice to leave the kids and be able to do something as husband and wife. After being married over 25 years we needed this. Have been to this location as a family before but being there just as us added to it. The Hotel was excellent and hopefully will be able to afford this again in the near future and maybe for a longer period of time next time. Would recommend this hotel for a place to stay at right on the beach. The only thing it lacks is a resturant on site but with the full kitchen it was actual cheaper to eat in after a quick trip to the store. Just hope that price doesn't go up over the years like other places in the area.

This Hotel was fantastic, at the time we stayed May 2008, the rates were very reasonable. The room was nicer than I expected and the service was exceptional. The room was well equipped and we were very satisfied. I would stay there again at any time. Although, this trip did not allow us time to enjoy the pools, what I saw was very appealing, nice kids pool with lots of fun water things for them to enjoy. Way to go Sandy Beach!!

Broadway at the Beach is a nice shopping / restaurant area. We were disappointed with the new Hard Rock Theme park but still worth going once to check it out. For a nice restaurant go see Mrs Fish off Broadway St.

The amenities such as microwave and fridge, and all the facities to make an extended stay a more comfortable transition. Of course the view of the ocean and the area was a great plus.

This hotel was absolutely gorgeous. It is ocean front with breathtaking views. The outside is as beautiful as the inside, with two outside pools, a hot tub, a lazy river, and an indoor pool. The only issue that we had was that we unknowingly went there during Bike Week. It was very difficult to load/unload your vehicle due to all of the motorcycles being parked in the way (for some reason, they were allowed to park in the drive beside the hotel while cars had to park a block away in a store parking lot). Other than that, our stay was great. Just don't go there durintg Bike Week.
