Speaking of pricey but worth it, you must go to Boardwalk on the Beach. It was only ten minute drive from this hotel and the Aquarium there was excellent. (rent a car, it is worth it) It looks small from the outside but it has a lot to offer. Get discount tickets at several of the shops along the boardwalk, you don't need to pay full price if you take a brief look around to find the deals. Lots of great shops.

Beautiful Occean view from the room. Approx. 22 pools (hot tub, lazy pool, kids pool, etc) in hotel. three blocks from parasailing and jetski rental.

First complaint I have is that they didn't have a room ready for me when I arrived. They require you to check out at 11, but they can't give you a room until 3?! That is rediculous. I was there at 1:30, there should have been a room. The rooms were ok, not great. I felt like a giant in kitchen and bathroom areas because the sinks were low and the ceilings were lower. Anyone 6' 4" or higher would hate it. The only saving grace for this place are the pools for kids, and it is on the beach. If it didn't have both of those things, I wouldn't stay there.

it was too noisy, example we stayed room 114 1st floor. Every night fireworks on the beach pass midnight. Too loud by the bar

Hotel was better than average. Nothing special. Staff was friendly though, which was a plus. And management was helpful. Our room was right by the Tiki Hut (which was not exactly the view we were hoping for), and they had no problems changing it for us. Lazy rivers were probably smaller than the pool. I think we all laughed when we saw them. But I guess they served their purpose. Overall it wasn't bad. Not a luxurious hotel, but no complaints.

Had no idea Myrtle Beach was such a tourist trap, but we were content just to spend our time at the resort enjoying the beach and the pools.
