The ac unit was noisy - but other than that, it was a good deal for a clean, wonderfully located room. The neighborhood was very nice, not far from central park, and the staff was professional and quick. I'd definitely go back.

Try the Chirpin' Chicken for a quick reasonable bite and the Manhattan Diner for a breakfast that will keep you going till dinner time.

There are many really amazing grocery stores in this area. Our room had a refrigerator in it, which was important to us. There is this amazing store about 2 blocks south of the Hotel, on Broadway, called Fairway. I referred to it as "Whole Foods on crack." It is the best store I have ever been in, and it helped us save money, and eat well, by purchasing breakfast food and snacks there.

It appears that the hotel has started renovating its rooms. The fitness room is modernized and had more than I expected from a hotel. My main issue with the rooms was the size of the bathrooms (small) with no vanity.

We recently stayed at Hotel Belleclaire and were quite pleased with the accomodations. When we got to our room, there was no AC and the windows were open but no screens. Due to the noise and the fact that we had a small child, we were uncomfortable but after speaking with the front desk, two window units were installed that day. The hotel was within walking distance of the subway and just two blocks from Central Park. There was also a grocery store right around the corner, which was very inconvenient. I would request a coffeepot in the room as there was not one and nowhere to get coffee in the hotel. Shopping was within walking distance and some great diners and restaurants. It was very affordable and I would stay there again, although sharing one bathroom with 5 people was a little tricky.

We had a 2 bedroom,sleeps 6 suite, for 4 of us and we had plenty of room. Yes the bathroom was small but we didn`t have a problem at all. Staff was very friendly.Beds were comfy, plenty of pillows I would definetly stay here again!

The hotel is in walking distance to the Central Park, subway system and grocery stores. Our room was very clean and bed was confortable.

Great location for accessing all NY attractions by subway, bus, and walking, dining, and shopping. Shabby lobby but our renovated room was clean and pleasant.

Talk to the people in the stores. They are so nice and happy to give you tips. Also, Coppola's is an excellent restaurant, small and intimate, the best seafood risotto!
