Hotel was excellent with one major problem: it was very noisy. Even in the back of the hotel and on the 14th floor, the street noise was a problem. Sat. night was especially loud and made it difficult to sleep.

Purchase a City Pass they are worth it... Purchase a Metro Card they're the best way to get around the city. The subways are easy but you don't see as much of the city as the bus.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Affinia Manhattan. The room was spacious and the kitchen was a nice surprise. The bed was probably the most comfortable I have ever slept in. You just did not want to get out of it. However, the stall shower was extremely small. I suggest a room with a bath tub, otherwise, i would most definitely stay there again and most definitely recommend the Affinia Manhattan to both my family and friends!!!!

I was very impressed with this hotel. It's an older place but maintained pretty well. It has a bit of a broken in comfortable feel as opposed to the rundown, neglected feel of most older places. The service and staff were excellent and the room was great. I had a 1 bdrm suite on the 26th floor with a balcony overlooking the Empire State Building. One of the most surprising perks was the 'pillow menu' on the bed. They have a list of 6-8 different types of pillows to choose from as opposed to a flat down pillow like most other places.

This place is very old and the rooms are pretty worn out. Most of the furniture looked to be about 10 years old. The shower was gross. It was really roomy though, and there was kitchen in my room. Not sure if that's for every room there, but I paid the lowest price. The staff is not very friendly at all, and the front and side doors are very tiny. I could not even fit a small stroller in. Not sure how a person in a wheelchair could fit in. No elevator by either door and you had to take stairs to get to the main floor. That's not easy with a stroller. I don't think a disabled could possibly stay here. It does have a decent location though, and I was only there for one night so it was fine. But I would not stay there again.

The Affinia is a great hotel right in the middle of it all. You are just across the street from Madison Square Gardens and Penn Station. You are a few block from Time Square. The rooms are spacious and many have 2 bathrooms with a pull out sofa sleeper....Excellent value...will return

From the moment the doorman opens the cab door and pulls your luggage from the trunk the Affinia is a great experience. All employees are kind, courteous taking care of any and all needs. The rooms at the Affinia are at once large and homey. The kitchens have what is needed and the beds are the best we've ever experienced. Overall we love to stay there when ever in Manhattan. The restaurant Niles is top shelf, from wait staff to the food. The lounge at Niles is a comfortable modern atmosphere which we enjoy.

I felt like the Affinia Manhattan was right in the heart of things. The subway was very close. Many things we wanted to see and places we wanted to go and stores we wanted to shop were within walking distance. The staff were courteous and efficient. All of our housekeeping requests were taken care of quickly and easily. All in all, it was a great place to come home to after a day of conferencing, sightseeing and shopping.
