Njot impressed

Waited in line for 30 minutes to check in for non-smoking room and then was given a smoking room had to return and wait in line for 20 minutes to get it changed to a non-smoking room. Very poor desk service.

Sahara

The Sahara hotel is at the complete opposite end of the Vegas strip. All the shows and shopping are a really far walk and waiting for the bus is too hot and most of the time the busses are full and you end up walking. I would suggest staying at a more central location on the Strip because you will save in the long run. The cab cost to go to the center of the strip is $12 one way.

Not impressed

In our first room the air conditioning did not work and we had to change rooms. In our second room the card keys did not work after one night. Staff was friendly but not attentive or helpful. This room was the cheapest room on the strip and now I know why. Cleanliness was ok, but the hotel showed its age and needed maintenace.

Nice stay

The first night was in a tower opposite of the casino entrance: the room was ok, a little dated. The next 6 nights were in a different tower, and much nicer (I can't remember the names of the towers). It was nice to be able to walk to the Stratosphere, the highlight of the trip!
