Customer Service was rude at check-in. Kiosk desks were near the front desk so people using the kiosk desks would cut in line of others waiting to see a clerk.

Hotel was a nice place to stay, we were in a new or remodeled room. TV was big and new! Beds were comfy!

I was at this hotel 6 years ago and just went back this year. The remodeled rooms are great, very clean and roomy. I have heard others say the service isn't that good, but I found that only at the Cafe there. It just seems like the staff is used to being a lower type of hotel, but I gave some tips and was treated very well. The hotel is at the north end of the strip, but not disconnected from the bigger hotels. Just a couple of blocks from the new Wynn and few blocks from the Venitian. Looks like some other big hotels are being built near by, once that is done it will be easy to get places.

After reviewing all the reviews, I was a bit concerned about staying at the Riviera but the price was right and it was walking distance to the convention center so we gave it a shot. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are not spectacular but were spacious and clean and definitely worth the price. The pool was nice and the buffet was good, a little expensive but very convenient. The best part is that it's only a 15 minute walk to the Las Vegas convention center and that worked out great. So overall I was very happy with the Riviera, especially for the low price.

on my second morning at the hotel I got woken up at 5 am with the sound of constuction in the room directly above mine. I called frot desk and they said there was nothing they could do about it. I was offered to change rooms, but I was checking out that day so there would be no point. The front desk said they were supose to start constuction after 9, and could only do quiet stuff before 9. I was kept awake with them moving out furniture, then ripping out the carpets!!I was Not informed that there was constuction on that wing of the hotel especially on the floor above mine

Since there is a casino on the ground floor of this hotel, the whole hotel reeks of smoke, even the non-smoking rooms. I had problems using the self-check in electronic machine, and had to wait for three desk clerks to pay any attention to me, even though I was standing right in front of them. They were discussing something so animatedly, they didn't hear (or pretended not to hear) me asking them for help. The breakfast buffet was okay, but definitely not worth the price. The hotel amenities are very basic, and the location is okay, but not the best.
