It's Vegas. If you can't find something to do, you must already be dead. But do yourself a favour, get a rental car and go for a drive to Hoover Dam, the Mojave desert or Death Valley. Vegas is in the middle of some of the most inhospitable but fascinating scenery you'll find. The contrast between the bright lights of Sin City and the apparently desolate wastelands is awesome

Hotel is not one of the newest. It needs to be updated to compete w/ the newer ones on the strip. But it is clean, on the strip and descent. Great location though, at the begining of the strip. Defenitly would stay here again but would not go lower then this 3-star hotel. Connecting hotels are The Mandalay Bay and Excalibur.

hotel corridoors left with guests roomservice trays outside their rooms for a longtime. Not very nice looking at peoples leftover food. Rooms quite nice if a little on the dark side.

Prim outlet shops are well worth going to. It is approx 45 mins by bus which leaves from the MGM. Also, taxis will always want to take you the long way. When leaving the Luxor instruct them that you want to go the quickest way "ie NOT the STRIP!" if possible. Make out you know where you are going so you don't get ripped off!

If you don't know how to get around Las Vegas, the Luxor may not be your best choice since it is away from the busy areas. Not close to the tram nor any walk-ways. We wanted this location but some people may find it out of the way. You can access easily by the Deuce or rental car. The Luxor does have a large and free parking lot...

I would expect more from a hotel on the strip, Im not saying the hotel was terrible but the rooms were small, their was a long wait to check in, and the casino was pretty small.
