A short guide to: The Strip

Glittering, larger-than-life gambling palaces dominate Las Vegas Boulevard South, better known as The Strip. Here, hotels are destinations unto themselves. Within a three-mile stretch, visitors can see the New York City skyline, the Eiffel Tower, an Egyptian pyramid, imperial Rome, a dancing fountain, and an exploding volcano. A monorail links several hotels and the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Don't stay in Circus Circus Manor

You will have to walk in the hot Vegs sun to get to the main hotel. Then you you take an escalator and a walk another 1/4 mile to get to the casino. Manor rooms are old, with old furniture and bathrooms.

Hotel was alright

The hotel was ok, I would stay there again but, would stay inside the hotel/casino area. Don't prefer the manors out from the casino.

Well it's decent priced..... but.....

Check the dinner buffet at Sahara - at current date 6,99 US $... Everything seem to be more ezpensive inside Circus Circus than competing hotels -

I'll stay somewhere else

the garden grill was not as good as I had hoped. the steak had too much fat and the ribs were hard to chew. The buffet is good for the price, eat breakfast there. The adventuredome is amazing. overall it was okay, but I rather stay closer to the other better attractions. The venetian gondola ride, the shark reef at mandalay bay, Pure nightclub, treasure island battleship show, bellagio fountains looks better at night, rio maquerade show in the sky is far from the other hotels but go. You get what you pay for, so save up and stay somewhere better

Cheap!

As exciting as the thought might be don't drive down the strip when you first arrive if you are staying at the far end as the traffic means it can take you an hour to get down it. It takes 10 minutes on the freeway which runs parrallel to the strip! The best route if you are tired!

Great for kids

I would recommend Circus Circus for families with children. If you are an adult couple traveling without kids Circus Circus would drive you insane. If you are going for "peace and quiet" do not go to Circus Circus. Let's talk about the Circus Circus Buffet. Horrible. There are no other words to describe it. However, the Garden Grill was fabulous and priced decently. The pools at Circus Circus close at 7:00 PM. This was ridiculous to a family on vacation. You can barely get back to Circus Circus from a long day out by 7:00 PM. Our kids were really dissapointed with the pool hours. We did have an issue with waking up to no water one morning. It was fixed fairly quickly, but still a hassle. We were there June 7 through June 13 2008 and the slots seemed tight. I would suggest gambling off the strip. All in all, for the price and the fact our children were with us, I was pleased with Circus Circus. However, next trip without the kids, we will definately stay somewhere else.

Can we get clean bedding? Pretty please?

Stay away (far away) from anyone wearing a vest with a resort logo. They will wrangle you in for a look at their newest timeshare scam by offering you special gifts just for being a quest at Circus Circus and once you are on the bus you are stuck for triple the 2-hour time they tell you and there is no lunch as promised unless you consider a bag of chips and a water a meal. These agents are in the hotel and all down the Strip in nearly every establishment. Beware or waste valuable vacation time!
