Save your money.

If you're looking for something fun to do, go to the Samuel Adams Brewery in the Jamaica Plains section of Boston. Free tour, and at the end free beer! You learn a lot about who and what makes the beer. It was the highlight of our trip!

The Kendall Hotel is Exceptional

Great location next to the MIT campus. The Black Sheep restaurant inside the hotel is worth visiting. Easy to commute to and from the hotel via the 'T'. Legal Seafoods and a food court is located across the street.

Quite the find!

The Kendall Hotel in Kendall Square is one of those spots we "luck onto" all too rarely. The location is fabulous, and it is comfortable, quiet, clean and reasonably priced. The best kept secret of all is its fabulous breakfast. Will look forward to staying there again.

B&B atmosphere in hotel

The Kendall Hotel was cozy, easy to find, convenient to transportation, a wonderful value, spotlessly clean. I was happy that each room controls its own temperature. Would definitely stay there again.

A gem in the heart of Cambridge

We loved this hotel. Teh hotel itself is beautiful and charming. The staff were wonderfully accomodating. The breakfast (free with stay) was ample and delicious --- fresh scones with a different kind of fruit every day; eggs, bacon, pancakes, REAL maple syrup and more... The location is a VERY short walk to the Kendall T stop, making it a short hop in either direction, either to Harvard Square or into downtown Boston. The only drawbacks: 1) Our room was on the top floor and was a bit overheated, with windows that did not open. However, the hotel staff was happy to provide us with a fan which helped cool the room down and we were comfortable with that. 2) Parking is in an underground garage that has a very steep and narrow driveway (only one car can go up or down at a time.) It is very tricky to get a larger vehicle such as a van down to the limited number of spaces in the garage. We only needed parking for one night, but if you can do without a car we would recommend it. Also they do charge $20 per night for parking. The one thing we wished they had, but didn't: a coffee pot in the room. However, during the evening hours there were carafes of coffee and hot water in the hotel's breakfast room so guests could take a cup of coffee or tea up to their rooms.

Great find

Boston and Cambridge are cities where you don't really need a car to check out the sights. The subway (the "T") will take you mostly everywhere you'd want to go within the city limits. For $2 per ride (or less - if you use a "Charlie Card" that you can get free for the asking at most subway stations) you can get anywhere within the subway system. This includes the ride to and from the airport. Don't waste $30 on an airport taxi when you can spend $2 for the same thing on the subway.
