The original restaurant from the House of Blues Hotel is still there, Bin 69, and it is about the only redeemable feature of the hotel.

Different kind of hotel with its own character. Well located near the Chicago river and the Loop with lots of interesting restaurants in the vicinity. The room was well-appointed and the bed very comfortable.

The room was on the smaller side, but it had everything we needed. Nice flat screen TV, well kept bathroom, and the bed was wonderful. Friendly staff and close parking(valet took maybe two minutes to bring our car around). We live 5 hours away and will be goiing back for our next stay in the windy city.

For a great breakfast, check out the Bongo Room on the South side/ S. Wabash. They have the best and most creative pancakes in town. It's also a nice place to have breakfast before checking out Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Adler's Planetarium since it's walking distance from all that and is located very close to the Red Line (train).

Our room faced the Chicago River and we had a great view of downtown. Lounge downstairs had a good band.
