You can hire bikes at the Wharf and ride to and across the Golden Gate Bridge - Definitely worth it for the views of the city. If you visit Alcatraz take the time to go on one of the tours with the Rangers - they're very informative and quite entertaining!

The rooms were large and the beds were very comfortable and the sheets were fabulous! The breakfast in the morning was also very nice. ALl in all a positive experience and great value. Perfect for a business traveler.

Would recommend La Scala just around the corner to eat in the evening, but gets very busy so you need to book unless you eat early. Sears opposite do great breakfasts

Great Hotel in excellent location best of both worlds, walking distance to almost everthing if you like to walk if not transport is all around. We choose this Hotel on the Expedia recomendations and they were all exceeded. Would definately stay again.

A great place to have a nice and delicious meal is "Scalas".On Powell Street just a few steps for the Orchard hotel.

The little pizza/pasta diner on the opposite corner (Uncle Vito's) was a bit basic but the food was brilliant, two huge platefuls of superb pasta, garlic bread and wine cost $15 each, well worth a visit.
