This was my second stay in 3 weeks and really enjoyed it again. The wine reception each evening is a real treat.

Take public trans. Make sure you buy a day pass for the Cable Cars instead of a one way pass. You can use the day pass for all public transp ie bus, muni, streetcars. The more you ride, the more you save. You won't feel like you have to stay in one part of San Fran for a whole day to save on trans fees and you save on parking fees. Parking is expensive!

Staff was very courteous and helpful. Room was fine. Only complaint was that water pressure was low one day (out of 4) at 8:00AM (peak shower time?). Convenient location. I'd certainly stay here again.

Purchase a one week MUNI Passport for $24, good for unlimited use on cable cars, bus, and MUNI. Reasonable transportation cost for a week in the city (1 and 3 day Passports are also available). Purchase at Cable Car turn-arounds.

I wonder if the Vintage Court blocks their smallest room for Expedia reservations. The room beared no resemblence to the photographs on the website, the shower was extremely small with an old, yellowed shower curtain. Sink located in the main guestroom-not bathroom. Some may call this "character", I just call it disappointing. Don't bother with the Vintage Court.

The location is closse to Union square, close to China town and just a cable car ride to fisherman's Wharf and little Italy.

Location was wonderful. The cable cars are right on the corner. The hotel is right there in the tourist area. The cable cars took you right to the spots in both directions.

We chose this hotel due to the price and location, which were better than others. However, we were really not impressed with the room. It smelled and was not well-maintained. The lobby is pretty nice and they do offer continental breakfast and a wine tasting.

We stayed at the Hotel Vintage Court five nights and I asked for a nice room when we checked in, however they placed us in a room that was off the back alley. It was very noisy every morning around 4:30am due to either trash removal or local bars emptying their trash (Sunday) - unbelievable. The GM was well aware of the situation due to comments he made as we checked out, therefore I felt that they were not interested in our comfort. Maybe better windows and thicker drapes are called for to minimize the noise.
