I would suggest, when making a reservation, ask for a room away from car dealer and elevator.

This was an affordable hotel and therefore everyone comes here. Large groups for tournaments, screaming children that run up and down the halls with parents that don't seem to care how their children act. There is mold in the bathrooms and the room and the carpet hasn't been cleaned since the motel was built! Don't plan on taking a shower and keeping your feet clean if you walk on the carpet without shoes! This hotel should be classified as a motor lodge - for all of the activity that takes place in the parking lot!

This hotel is in a great location to visit downtown San Diego to see a Padres game, visit the USS Midway, go to the airport, and visit Cornado Island as it only takes 6 - 10 minutes to get there. San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Seaworld were only about 7 - 10 minute drive and the Wild Park and Legoland are only about a 30 minute drive.

Getting to the motel by car might be a little challenging unless you study a map beforehand or use a GPS navigation system.

The room to eat breakfast in is too small for the crowd it draws. The waffle line is too long. They need another waffle cooker. Close to freeways for quick access.

This hotel is close to most anything you want to do in San Diego (Old Town, Zoo, Gas Lamp Quarter, Harbor Cruise, Double Decker Bus Tour, etc). Great location!

Very convenient to expressways and Balboa park/zoo within 4 miles, seaworld not much more. I also made two trips to Wild animal Park and still only 20-30 minutes away, close to freeway to Escondido.
